With the dawn of the new millennium, Canada got her first glimpse of deregulation in the banking infrastructure and an introduction to the advantages of private business
being able to utilize the interact network. In February 2001 POS Merchant
Services Inc. was established as one of the original ISO's in the point-of-sale industry and a pioneer for white label debit systems.
POS Merchant Services quickly forged relationships with hardware manufacturing giants
such as Hypercom, Onkorr and Ingenico. Leaders who are recognized worldwide for the reliability of their electronic debit equipment. Then with the help of Datawest and other leading software developers, POS Merchant Services acquired a direct switch into the Interact
Network. One capable of processing all debit and credit transactions.
Over the next year, POS Merchant Services focused its attention on developing a business system that
